Happy to win here. It had been many years since Valencia CF was able to win in this stadium. You could see how difficult it is to play here and how much the crowd pushes. It’s a pleasure to play in this kind of atmosphere — football at its highest level — and we showed personality, just as we did in Seville, and we earned three important points that should give us confidence going into the three matches we have left. We’re going to approach them with the same mentality we showed today.

We’re not thinking about relaxing at all. We’re going to focus on the next match — we can’t let up. It’s a very important victory, but on Thursday we want to earn another three points. Athletic is a great team, one of the top sides in La Liga. Today, we showed that we can compete with anyone when we’re playing well, organized, compact, and with clear ideas. Today, people saw a very recognizable Valencia CF side that fought until the end. We also suffered at times, but that’s normal in this stadium. The team gave everything, and in the end the results come.

It’s a very important match, equal to or maybe even more important than today’s. We have to go into it focused on getting the three points, keep adding wins, and then look ahead to the next one.
